The Israeli West Bank barrier is a contested separation barrier that was built by the Israeli government. The barrier was built during the Second Intifada, which began in September 2000, and has been defended by the Israeli government as a necessity to stop the wave of violence inside Israel that the uprising brought with it. The Israeli government argues that between the year 2000 and July 2003 (the time taken to build the first segment of the fence), 73 suicide bombings were carried out originating in the West Bank. However, from August 2003 to the end of 2006 only 12 attacks were carried out.

Moseroth implemented its patent Rapid Security Barrier (RSB) along 2 sides of the border for the first time.
